On the 9th and 10th of August 2024 -Friday and Saturday- a unique Festival of Traditional Dances, a unique organization of the Nafplion-Ermioni Labor and Social Centre, with traditional dances from all over Greece, is coming to the Lighthouse of Nafplio!
It is a project, a huge effort that the Labor Centre had started in the pre-Coronavirus period, with great success. A capital city like Nafplio, but also the wider region, with a huge cultural heritage, aspires to always be a pioneer in such events, faithful to the traditions and values of the ancestors.
The transmission from generation to generation of history, customs and, in general, everything related to the traditions of each region and country, is an imperative duty for all, citizens and institutions. For a people that forgets its history is doomed to obscurity.
In a summer weekend, therefore, full of favorite songs and traditional dances, we all come together and make an appointment at the Lighthouse, with nostalgia, emotion, joy and full participation!

A favorite hangout and walk for locals and visitors alike is the lighthouse of Nafplio, almost all year round, but during the summer months it hosts open concerts and events.
The famous tour of Arvanitia is the starting point of a wonderful walking route, which has recently become a popular stop for food and coffee, with views of the lighthouse, and also for swimming!
