On Sunday evening, July 14th 2024, the summer Fougaro Art Center in collaboration with the "Fichti Art Festival" hosts the Gipsy Groove band, for a unique evening of modern Balkan folk music, with free admission.
A multi-ethnic music group from Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia, Gipsy Groove create their own style by combining Roma music with other Balkan folk styles and with elements of jazz, reggae, funk, ska, drums and bass. Their performances are known for their liveliness, intense communication with the audience and improvisational elements.

Gipsy Groove
Gipsy Groove's journey began in 2010, when Kafu & Mirsad decided to collaborate and start playing and creating original music. Their mission from the beginning has been to raise awareness about inequality, freedom of movement, racism, women's rights and human rights in general. Their work is an artistic depiction of real life in Kosovo and the Balkans, with all the endless interplay of hardship and joy.
Gipsy Groove's work is a combination of a strong love for music, comradery, a message of unity and equality and an undying passion for challenges such as live performances and precious moments with the audience.
They create their own style by combining Balkan Rom music and other Balkan folk styles, with elements of Jazz, Reggae, Funk, Ska, Drum & Bass. Their performances are known for their lively atmosphere, intense exchange with the audience and elements of improvisation added throughout. Their musical performance is dynamic, they have their own authentic way of expressing themselves and hope to continue to add to their list of notable festivals and events.

"FichtiArt" is a festival, that started in 2021 and takes place at the foothills of the historical site of Mycenae, in the municipality of Fichti of Argolis. During four days, at the end of July, in a beautiful environment, the festival becomes a place for the expression of all forms of art, in dialogue with the local inhabitants, visitors and the public.
At the Fougaro Café-Bistrot you can enjoy light dishes of Mediterranean cuisine, coffee, sweets and drinks.
There is a large parking lot available, also with a supply for charging your electric car!
