Christmas has arrived! The glorious celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ reigns in every corner of the world, spreading divine light in the hearts of people. The lighting of the Christmas tree of the Municipality of Nafplion is scheduled for Sunday, December 10th 2023, in Syntagma Square (Constitution Square).
We light up the tree lights! A symbol of the continuation of life with hope, optimism, and peace in our hearts and city. Nafplion is "flooded" with brilliance and light from 18:00, to welcome this blessed celebration with the sounds of songs echoing joyfully, evoking delight and emotion, and enhancing the spirit of Christmas, the spirit of Love!
Wearing our warmest smiles, we all engage in a "conspiracy of Love" because... Christmas is Love in action! Every time we love, every time we give, it is Christmas!
Performing
Nafplio Municipal Philharmonic, under the teaching and direction of the maestro and chief musician Theodossios Antoniadis.
Artistic Gymnasium of Argolis, with students from the theater, cinema, dance, and visual arts departments.
The New School, with its choir and orchestra, will present Christmas songs.
The Athletic and Cultural Association of Nafplio "Chorokinissi", with a competitive team in cheerleading for primary school children, performing a Christmas pom choreography!
The children of the Day Care Center "Rainbow" performing Christmas songs in Greek sign language.
The Music School of Argolis, with the Traditional Music Ensemble, will present traditional Christmas and New Year's carols from various regions of Greece.

This year's Christmas bazaar of handmade creations, with the participation of schools, clubs and local organizations, is planned for December 16th and 17th 2023. All proceeds will go to the Social Market Gate of Love ("Pili tis Agapis").
