9th Peloponnisos International Doc Film Festival - October 25th to November 5th 2023

The program of this year's festival includes 45 international, 22 Greek documentaries and 18 documentaries for the educational zone, while the detailed screenings' schedule for Nafplio and Argos cities is to be announced.
The festival is being enriched again this year with workshops, seminars, round table discussions, teleconferences, exhibitions and special educational programs aimed at all levels of education.
The international judging committee consists of the directors Mr. Turi Finocchiaro and Mrs. Nathalie Rossetti and the film montage executive Mrs. Bonitta Papastathis. Until today, the Festival is in continuous cooperation with the School of Fine Arts of Athens, with the Film School of AUTH, the Theater Studies and Cultural Management department of the University of Peloponnese in Nafplio and Kalamata and with the Ionian University with the departments of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting along with the Audiovisual Arts.
At the same time, as every year, the award for the best music documentary will be given by the students of the Department of Music of the Ionian University.

Nafplio - Hand Made Cinema seminar
Video art and cinema seminar with Kyriakos Chatzimichailidis (producer-director). A 4-day direction seminar with a total duration of 20 hours in 6 meetings, about gaining insight into very small video art projects inspired by poetry.
The seminar takes place in Nafplio, 27-30 October 2023, in collaboration with the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Peloponnese.

From 25/10 at 10:00 until 5/11 at 24:00. All the films will be available from the first day of screening for limited amount of views.
With a simple sign up on the website, you can watch the films free of charge!
The films are available only for connections inside Greece.

This is a documentary film festival born in 2015, with emphasis on international documentaries - with tributes, parallel events, educational zone, seminars and masterclasses, aiming to upgrade the cultural life of the wider region, to give the opportunity to a large group of people who have no access to cinemas or other major festivals to know the domestic and international Film production.
The main Festival takes place in Kalamata every year and part of the program is screened in 8 other cities of Peloponnese. Of all the actions during the year, the goal is to get the unfamiliar audience in touch with the cinematographic documentary genre. The priority, is for the young audience to get in touch with the documentary and get involved actively and creatively with it, giving them the first motive to create their own productions.
The 9th Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival is held with the financial support and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the support of the Hellenic Film Center. Co-organizer: Region of Peloponnese, Municipalities of Kalamata, Argos-Mycenae, Xylokastro-Eurostini and Ilis.
