PFF - International Museums Day, 18-23 May 2021

On the occasion of the celebration of the International Museums Day on May 18th 2021, the "B. Papantoniou" Museum, the Museum of Childhood "Stathmos" and the new cultural space of the Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation (PFF) "Sofroni 13" in Nafplio reopen. They expect their public with free admission and extended opening hours until Sunday, May 23rd 2021.

The ''Β. Papantoniou'' Museum, in addition to the renovation of the building, was also "refreshed" internally, shaping its showcases and changing some of its exhibits.

The Museum of Childhood "Stathmos" is waiting for the visitors in the exhibition "Paidiothen…" and in the refurbished wagons of OSE right outside.

"Sofroni 13", the new cultural space of the Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation (PFF), will host exhibitions, events, etc., starting with the exhibition named "Philhellenic. Collection of Eleni Martinou".

Opening hours (18-23 of May 2021)
"Β. Papantoniou" Museum: 10.00-14.00 & 18.00-21.00
"Sofroni 13": 10.00-14.00 & 18.00-21.00
"Stathmos" Museum of Childhood: Daily, except Wednesday and Saturday, 10.00-14.00.

The "B. Papantoniou" Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation (PFF) is a nonprofit institution based in Nafplion and aims at the research, preservation, study and presentation of the material culture of the Peloponnese as well as of the whole of Greece. It was founded in 1974 by Ioanna Papantoniou in memory of her father. It is housed in the residence of B.Papantoniou, which was converted into a museum in 1981.
The renovation of the places above is mainly due to a grant from the Ministry of Culture (Minister of Culture Mrs. Lina Mendoni, Secretary General Mr. George Didaskalou).
In compliance with the Covid-19 health protocols, no inauguration will take place in any of the places above.
