The "Nuevo" of the old town
The building is located at 28, Zygomala str., the main street of Psaromachala district, overlooking the old town from above. It comes from the binding of two houses, was renovated in 2015 and now acquires the most contemporary and modern bathrooms in all its rooms. It has 11 double rooms (one of them is a lovely attic), 6 triple rooms and a quadruple family room, all to perfection! With their nice furniture, the elegant fabrics, their own character each and their own colors, in shades of olive, of the sea, of white with blue, white with black, in pink and with…the 50 shades of gray throughout hotel! On the stairs, in the dining room, in the living room, in the reception… Where, when you enter, you find a treat of local delicacies and candies, to prepare you for the sweetest accommodation experience!
Utmost rewarding!
At Leto Nuevo, you feel the rewarding hospitality, from the rich breakfast, to its embroidered white, its rich, embroidered towels, the attention to detail in all the rooms, even the view, which is generously provided from all rooms without exception! Because the building is totally oriented to the sea and the old town, with the upper rooms framing Bourtzi in the windows and the sailing boats in the port, while the lower ones put in the frame the exquisite Venetian building of the Archaeological Museum, the old Parliamentary building (Vouleftiko) and the beautiful white bell towers from the churches…
Especially for the hotel's gourmet breakfast, what can anyone say...! Incredibly rich, with delicacies far beyond the usual. In addition to the cakes, the puff pastries, the cheeses / cold cuts and the various types of eggs and omelets that are served, the hotel offers its guests handmade pizza and "peinirli", their own traditional pies (mushroom pies, chicken pies, spinach pies depending on the day) and fresh baked crepes! We will sweeten ourselves after that with chocolate pie, traditional orange pie, coconut and brownies, while at the end, to cool our stomach a bit, we will taste excellent local yogurt with fresh or dried fruits and cool juices. Our vegan friends, of course, will enjoy grilled vegetables and definitely salads for breakfast, so as not to be jealous. Now, how much can anyone eat!...
Rooms with a view
In fact, I do not usually find accommodation so easy, in cities as such, with views like that from all rooms without exception! Here your eyesight is not restrained from anywhere! As also from the breakfast room, which looks like an inner courtyard or covered terrace, you eat and enjoy the view of the old city, as if you have it in your plate!
In the shadow of the sealed Gate
You see her from afar, you wonder, but her entrance is well hidden. The hotel guards the hidden passage, the steps leading to the closed Gate… And is visible from the rooms on the right side. The one that was sealed, because there are no more soldiers guarding it…
The Venetian Nafplio for many years, with its forts and the insurmountable monuments of the time, which adorn it, needed many soldiers. Settled in the castle of Acronafplia, they were seeking for a short way to get down to the city. Thus in 1713, during the second Venetian rule in Nafplio, the construction of the Gate was completed and took its name from the Venetian General Provider of the Fleet, Augustine Sagredo.
