"Lemon", the theatrical performance that has been watched by over 10,000 spectators, is part of the Argos-Mycenae Festival 2021 in Nea Kios, next to Nafplio. On Monday, July 12th 2021 the spot of the beach by the river turns into a theater, offering a unique musical-theatrical experience overlooking the sea.
The story of 1900, which is presented in an original way throughout Greece from the year 2018, seems shockingly relevant today, given the historical conjuncture of the pandemic.
The greatest pianist of the Ocean, who lived his whole life in a boat -enclosed by choice- meets all of us, who leave our obligatory enclosure behind.
Music, movement, dance, song, energy that overflows on the stage, humor that follows the emotion, in a handmade theatrical proposal that brings to the surface our real needs ... Are we afraid to get off the ship in which we were born? Where do we feel really happy?
This summer, Lemon travels by van, from Sfakia to Thessaloniki and from the shipwreck in Gythio, to the enchanting Oinousses island. With important festival appearances (Forest Theater, Papagou Garden Theater, Ilioupoli, Chalkida, Oitis Festival), the favorite performances at sea (Salamina, Spetses, between Loutro Sfakion and Gavdos), the performances in the lagoon (Messolonghi), in Syros island and as highlight the performance against the backdrop of the wreck of Dimitrios on Valtaki beach in Gythio, "Lemon" connects the points of our personal map and generously gives us a genuine theatrical experience, wherever we may find ourselves this summer.
The theater becomes a journey and the journey a theater, bringing to us all that we have missed!

The performance is implemented within the Argos-Mycenae Festival 2021 by the Municipality of Argos-Mycenae, with the support of the Cultural Association of Nea Kios and the friends of the Nafplio-Nea Kios Wetland.
There is a free parking area for vehicles in the location.
As part of the measures to deal with the negative consequences of the appearance of the Covid-19 Coronavirus and the need to limit its spread, it is mandatory for spectators to use a mask when entering the events and until they are placed in their seats, as well as when leaving.
