The Small Festival of Theatrical Production 2022 (called "Festivalaki") is organized for one more year in Nafplio, by the students of the Department of Theatrical Studies of the School of Fine Arts of the University of Peloponnese. A week full of artistic events at the Fougaro Art Center, from May 26th to June 4th 2022, making the city's residents getting to know the students, their work and the Faculty based in Nafplio.
There are four groups this year, that will present their performances from May 26 to June 4 at the Fougaro Art Center. These performances combine the knowledge gained by the students from their four-year study at the Department of Theatrical Studies and aim to communicate their artistic concerns to a wider audience.
The Small Festival of Theatrical Production 2022 (called "Festivalaki") is organized, as every year, in the context of the course "Theatrical Production", which is exclusively taught at the Department of Theatrical Studies of the University of Peloponnese by professor Mrs. Anna Tsichli. This year, Mr. Christos Dionysopoulos has undertaken the teaching support and Mr. Lambros Skoufoulas the technical support of the course.

At this Small Festival of Theatrical Production 2022 (called "Festivalaki"), the following four performances will be presented:
The iNBETWEEN team presents the theatrical play of Mr. Akis Dimos "If I ran Late, go to Sleep…" on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th of May 2022 at 20:00, at the SPACE9 of Fougaro Art Center.
"This performance is not experimental. It is not Work in Progress. It is not a commentary on postmodernism. This is our own show. With our shoelaces untied. Counting our last penny. With our sweat on the t-shirts of strangers."
The iNBETWEEN team was created in 2019 as part of the course "Direction Elements: Theory and Practice" by female students of the School of Fine Arts, Department of Theatrical Studies, University of Peloponnese. The group has participated in the "Video Art Miden" festival with the video performance "Inspired by Hamlet".

The Transitus Theater Group presents the play "Those Under the Stars" by Mr. Telemachos Tsardakas. It is a contemporary play, which deals with the dimension of an unfulfilled love. The performance will take place on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th of May at 22:00, at the GARDEN KIOSK of Fougaro Art Center. The spectators will have the opportunity to watch the "rollercoaster" side of love.

"Group 534" team presents on Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd of June at 21:00, at the SPACE9 of the Fougaro Art Center, the thatrical play "Eurydice" by Jean Anouil. The text is based on the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Inspired by the myth, Anouil brings us face to face with the search for the truth about life. What is our environment? What is society and its principles? What is love and how does it survive in this system? What is life? Life as we know it… The show reveals the timelessness of the play and how trapped we are in a corrupt system that never changes...

The Opium group presents the "Gala" (milk in Greek), an original adaptation of the timeless play "To gala" (the milk) by Vassilis Katsikonouris, at the Small Festival of Theatrical Production "Festivalaki" for two performances, on Friday 3rd and on Saturday 4th of June 2022 at 21:00, at the SPACE9 of the Fougaro Art Center. Among nine adapted images, the viewer will follow the life of a family of immigrants and the difficulties encountered by the queer characters, who have joined. A project as tribute to the Ukraine-Russia war. On stage, Lefteris character is played by a woman, as a twenty-year-old with schizophrenia, who guides us in his daily life.
The show is aimed at spectators over the age of 16.

The Small Festival of Theatrical Production 2022 (called "Festivalaki") was initiated at the end of May 2015. At that time, professor Mrs. Alkistis Kontogianni -as President of the Department of Theatrical Studies- formalized the institution of presentations under the name "Festivalaki of Theatrical Production". The Festival since then lasts from a week to ten days and is usually held in late May to early June.
