Fougaro - Manolis Mitsias Live, August 4th 2019

On Sunday, August 4th 2019, Manolis Mitsias comes to Fougaro Artcenter for the first time, in a unique appearance with Christiana Galiatsou!
A great performer, who has sealed the Greek song production, not only with his special voice but also with his personal ethos, is celebrating his 50th anniversary in the Greek music this summer. The renowned artist will share with us moments from a great repertoire, that includes collaborations with all major composers, such as Mikis Theodorakis, Manos Chatzidakis, Vassilis Tsitsanis, Dimos Moutsis, Stavros Xarchakos, Thanos Mikrounikos, Thanos Mikroutikos, Thanos Mikroutikos.

Manolis Mitsias in more than 35 personal albums, brought the general public of Greece and abroad in touch with the lyrics of leading poets, such as George Seferis, Nikos Gatsos, Nikos Karouzos, Manos Eleftheriou, Eftihia Papayanopoulou and Federico Garcia Lorca.

Manolis Mitsias as a child, was involved in Byzantine hymns and traditional music while he was a chorus singer. Later on he was living in Thessaloniki for studies and there he joined the choir of the Northern Greece Club of Arts and Letters, while at the same time he created a small music hall, in which he began his career in singing.
