The Nafplio Naval Events under the name "Naftiki Nafpliada" is a celebration for the sea, organized by the Municipality of Nafplio, the "Palamidis" Progressive Club of Nafplio and the Association of the people of origin from Nafplio living everywhere named "Nafplios". The purpose is to honor our Sea and the people who serve it. It includes a rich seven-day festive program, filled with guided tours, cruises in the Argolic Gulf, exhibitions, screenings, talks, presentations of new books and musical events.
The celebration of Nafplio Naval week is one of the top events of Nafplio and its quality is expected to impress once again locals and visitors, who come to enjoy it. Both, the exhibition of paintings, that will adorn Amalias Street and Trion Navarchon Square (Three Admirals' square), with the parallel musical accompaniment, as well as the wonderful "barcarola" event, which concludes with the impressive fireworks, will be unforgettable.

Three Admirals' Square | At 20:30
Opening ceremony. Art Exhibition at Three Admirals Square. A bunch of colors and ideas and Art all over. The visual arts will be accompanied by music, with maestro Theodosis Antoniadis on the piano. Duration of the exhibition until August 27th 2022.

Concert with well-known songs by Gerassimos Andreatos, dedicated to the 100 years of the Asia Minor disaster. Postponed to Friday, September 9th (same place and time), due to weather conditions.

Agios Spyridon square | At 20:30
Theatrical performance by the "Argolic Cultural Proposal", with the play "Ah Maria", based on "Vera" by Kehaidos. Postponed due to weather conditions! The new date of the performance is announced to be Wednesday 7th 2022 -same place and time.

The lighthouse of Nafplio | At 20:30
Traditional folk music and songs, with Thodoris (Theo) Papaioannou and musicians from ERT national channel. The event is presented by Mr. Christos Mylonas. Τhe main part of the concert concerns folk songs (known and unknown), that are inspired by Nafplion and its folk culture...

Agios Spyridon square | At 20:30
Book presentation "The Fountains of Nafplio". Edition of D.E.Y.A. of Nafplio and the Cultural Association "O Palamidis". Scattered engravings of fountains and instrumental music by a band of local musicians will fill the place and accompany the presentation.
Due to weather conditions, the event has been postponed to Monday, August 29th, at the same time and place.

Harbor area "Π" (Pi) | At 20:30
Closing ceremony. On Saturday evening, the events of "Naftiki Nafpliada 2022" will summit in the harbor. Honor to the people of the sea. The folk band of Singers from Zakynthos island will wonder around all over the old town, singing songs of Zakynthos island. Throwing a wreath in the waters of the Argolic Gulf by the Mayor of Nafplio, to honor the Argolic sea. Greetings from officials.
The "barcarola" will travel with us accompanied by the illuminated boats of the fishermen and with passengers our visitors from Zakynthos island, under the light of fireworks.

During this festive week, the whole city joins in a big party and many visitors flock to the closing ceremony with the "barkarola", the sparklers and the concert, with big names of the Greek pentagram.
