Easter in Nafplio 2018

Growing up in Nafplio, what I remember most from my childhood during the Easter period are the smells. A smell of limestone in the pavements and sidewalks, the smell of the freshly painted houses, the smell of the buns baked in the ovens on the Palm Sunday, the smell of the flowers on Holy Thursday, the smell of the myrrh on Holy Friday.
All these scents, which are celebrating the most beautiful Spring Festival, are still floating in the atmosphere today. The beauty of the Venetian city, fresh flowers, the characteristic bougainvilleas, the alleys, the slopes, the beach, make up the puzzles of the ultimate Easter destination.
