Govostis Publications, the Aposperitis Bookstore and the Association of Philologists of Argolis present at the Vouleftiko (Old Parliamentary building of Nafplio) on Sunday, April 10th 2022 in the afternoon, the collection of short stories "Stories of people almost next door", written by Mr. Velissarios Petinis, lawyer and author.
The book is about stories with heroes like every day people of "almost next door", who struggle to escape from the millstones of history or their humble origin, to end up victims of their passions or their tragic fate...
The book will be commented by Mrs. Agathi Georgiadou, Dr. Of Philology - Literature Critic and Mr. Tassos Chatzianastasiou, Dr. of History - Educator. According to Ms. Georgiadou, the author, with sharpness and representational writing, shows us the big picture (refugee, dictatorship of Metaxas, German Occupation, Civil War, post-war and modern time), but focusing on people's stories and "what happens to them, as they make other plans of their own".
The author himself will be present, who will discuss with the audience and answer questions (See biography at the end of the article).

Short biography by the author
"I was born in Athens, but I am from Akarnania by origin. I became a man together with poetry, in seven provincial cities, including the historic Nafplio, Ioannina and Thessaloniki. During my years of practicing law, I could not manage with writing, but I was reconnected with this love definitively and irrevocably six years ago. In December 2018, my first poetry collection entitled Hyperopia by Gavriilidis Publications was released ".
