Πελοποννησιακό Λαογραφικό Ίδρυμα Ναύπλιο, Λαογραφικό Μουσείο Παπαντωνίου, Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation Nafplio, the garden of Folklore Museum Nafplio

The Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation hosts in its new cultural space "Sofroni 13" in Nafplio, the exhibition entitled "A random encounter… with needle and thread" created by Mrs. Eleni Koini.

The exhibition presents her creations with the technique of patchwork and quilting, but also with the techniques of applique and free embroidery, that enable her to paint on canvas.
As Mrs Koini says, " A creative stimulus is usually a photograph. It gives the first impetus to match new elements in the design, real or dreamy."

Mrs. Eleni Koini was born and raised in Nafplio. She studied Decoration at the Department of Interior Architecture, Decoration and Object Design of the Technical University (TEI) of Athens and at the Department of Scenography & Costume Design of the Stavrakos School.
